Feliz Navidad!

Hola Todos,
Carlos (our project oversight in Panama), just sent the following email with some valuable information. PLEASE READ IN ITS ENTIRETY. Also, I believe he would like to have a conference call either tomorrow or Wednesday, so I will let everyone know more details on that.
I also wanted to provide a few reminders:
1.) All in-country costs of $850 are due in your GLB fundraising account by December 27th.
2.) All vaccinations should be done ASAP (recommended shots/pills: malaria, tetanus, yellow fever, hep. A&B, and typhoid)
3.) If you haven’t purchased a passport please do ASAP and put it on Rush delivery.
That’s it for now…if anyone has any question, comments, or complaints you know how to reach me 🙂
Thank God Fall semester is OVER,

Jazzmin

Hi Jazzmin,
Attached im sending you the brigade week itinerary updated, and the Brigade’s pre-work to be reviewed by you all for the Embera Puru Project. I’ve translated the most important items for the project, out of the KPMG GUIDE that you can check on: http://kca.kpmg.com/dbfetch/52616e646f6d4956242398b580c3a4bc988a3ddd2897aebc0cea887807edc346/ong-final-web__agosto2009_.pdf
It is in spanish though.
I also added a document from UNIFEM specialist, Gabriela Alvarez, about women indigenous rights. UNIFEM is the United Nations Developement Fund for Women. About the workshop you ask me to do about this matter, I prefer to keep it on stand by, because, although it could be a great source of information for them, I wouldn’t like to touch such a difficult topic in an indigenous community. We don’t know how they could react to it, and i say women or men, and maybe could break the bond we are trying to build with them in order to achieve our project.
Im still sending it for you to have it and to notice all the developement and advances of women indigenous rights.
Im also trying to scan some of the documents we are going to be presenting to the community, and that the lawyer will submit, for you to have and to know what we are talking about.
Finally i would like to setup a call with you and with any other member of the group (or the whole group) to discuss the schedule, the workshops and any other question regarding the project!
“MUST” Bring for your GLB: Sleeping Bags, Boots or Hiking Shoes (if you want), Mosquito Net, Repelent, Flashlight (We have, but a couple more wont be bad), Swimsuit!!!, Camera!!!
You can bring donations too for the community such as: Crayons, Color Books, English lessons Books, Comics or English Educative Tales, etc…
